Appointment strengthens VMware’s ability to deliver innovations that accelerate the cloud and digital transformation journeys for organizations in the dynamic and fast-growing region

VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), a leading innovator in enterprise software, today announced the appointment of Nitin Ahuja as the incoming Country Manager, Nascent and Vietnam at VMware. Armed with more than a decade of experience in the enterprise technology space and a strong background in leading synergy and solutions teams across VMware and the Dell group of companies, Nitin will focus on driving VMware’s growth in Vietnam as well as other developing and nascent markets. In his new role, Nitin will strengthen the delivery of VMware’s industry-leading innovations to accelerate the enterprise transformation of organizations in the region, as they align themselves with the region’s rapidly expanding digital economy.

“With Southeast Asia’s internet economy expected to triple in size to hit US$ 300 billion by 2025 and nascent economies leading the pack[1], VMware is excited to double down on our support for business and digital transformation, to help businesses in fast developing countries plug into the wider regional and global digital economy,” said Sanjay K. Deshmukh, vice president and managing director, Southeast Asia and Korea, VMware. “Nitin’s addition to our well-rounded Nascent Markets and Vietnam leadership team will no doubt strengthen VMware’s efforts in extending our industry-leading cloud, networking, security and modern applications solutions to Vietnam and developing countries in the region, enabling organizations to leapfrog their transformation as they embark on an exciting growth journey.”

Prior to his current appointment, Nitin was the Dell Synergy Leader in VMware, where he was instrumental in building and strengthening the Dell Synergy business in SEAK with strong performance and consistent growth in the last two years. Nitin also brings with him a solid enterprise tech background, having worked across the ANZ and Southeast Asia markets at Xerox, Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise.

“As the region plugs into the increasingly global business arena, digital products and services will be a key differentiator as businesses compete for customers. With the limitless opportunities afforded by cloud solutions and the increasing importance of modern applications and cybersecurity, VMware enables its partners to leverage the cutting-edge solutions to level up their digital capabilities,” said Nitin. “Vietnam and other Nascent markets are core to VMware’s strategy to build a vibrant tech ecosystem in the wider SEAK region. Accessing and utilizing the full suite of VMware’s cloud, networking, security and modern applications capabilities are a key step for enterprises seeking to harness innovation, architectural flexibility and cybersecurity in their continued evolution.”
