Two ComBank Mastercard Credit Card holders off to Rugby World Cup in Japan

Two of Commercial Bank of Ceylon’s Mastercard Credit Card holders have won the dream prize of any rugby enthusiast – ringside seats at this weekend’s semi-finals of the 2019 Rugby World Cup between New Zealand and England in Yokohama, Japan, with all expenses paid.

Mr U. P. Wasantha Perera of Piliyandala and Mrs Anuradha Jayatilake of Dehiwala received their prizes this week, each comprising of a ticket to the first semi-final of the Rugby World Cup and a package inclusive of visa fees, return air fare, hotel accommodation and transportation.

The lucky winners were drawn from thousands of Commercial Bank Mastercard Credit Card holders who spent an average of Rs 25,000 per month for purchases between 1st April and 30th June this year, to participate in a promotion conducted by Mastercard in Sri Lanka.

The ninth Rugby World Cup now on in Japan, ends 2nd November. This is the first time the tournament is being held in Asia.
