Top-performing tyre dealers who exceeded their targets for the sale of truck and bus tyres were rewarded with a fun-filled holiday in Thailand recently by CEAT Kelani Holdings, Sri Lanka’s leading tyre manufacturer.
A total of 31 dealers qualified for the tour. Participants including dealers and representatives of CEAT’s Sales & Marketing Division along with members of the senior management of CEAT spent four days in Pattaya and Bangkok celebrating the sales achievements for the specified period – February to April 2024.
Among the highlights of the group’s itinerary were the Coral Island (Koh Larn) tour with water activities like speed boat rides, a special cruise dinner on the ‘Chao Phraya Princess’ cruise along Bangkok’s iconic Chao Phraya River with breathtaking views of the city’s illuminated landmarks such as the Grand Palace and Wat Arun; special gala dinners and cocktails at premier restaurants as well as shopping and leisure time.
During their stay in Bangkok the group was accommodated at the luxurious Baiyoke Sky Hotel, one of Bangkok’s tallest and most iconic hotels. The Company said the tour also offered a valuable opportunity for networking between dealers and CEAT’s leadership and Sales team, enhancing collaboration and aligning future business goals.
The largest domestic manufacturer of cross-ply and radial tyres in Sri Lanka, CEAT Kelani has the largest dealer network in the country’s tyre industry, with over 600 dealerships spread across the island. CEAT Kelani Holdings currently manufactures half of Sri Lanka’s pneumatic tyre requirements, and exports about 20 per cent of its production to 16 countries. The joint venture’s cumulative investment in Sri Lanka over the past decade alone exceeds Rs 8.5 billion.
