TiE Colombo Launches Stanford Seed Spark Program, Empowering Entrepreneurs with Global Mentorship and Resources

Colombo, Sri Lanka – On 13th February 2025, TiE Colombo proudly launched the highly anticipated Stanford Seed Spark Program during an insightful Fireside Chat event at Elegance, Cinnamon Life. The event marked a significant step in empowering Sri Lanka’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, offering TiE Colombo members a unique opportunity to connect with global mentors and resources.
 



 

In collaboration with the Stanford Seed team, TiE Colombo is offering the Stanford Seed Spark Program to its members. This transformative program is designed to provide entrepreneurs with valuable mentorship, structured learning modules, and access to global networks. Through this partnership, TiE Colombo is committed to providing local entrepreneurs with the tools and expertise they need to scale their businesses and contribute to Sri Lanka’s economic growth.

The event featured a fireside chat with Keith Modder, a distinguished TiE Colombo Charter Member, moderated by Ruwindhu Peiris, also a Charter Member. The session offered valuable insights into the journey of successful entrepreneurship, discussing key strategies for growth, overcoming challenges, and achieving long-term business sustainability.

In addition to the program launch, Dinesh Kumar and Anandh Sridhar from the Stanford Seed team joined online to provide an in-depth overview of the program, its benefits, and the application process. Their session was followed by engaging discussions and Q&A, where attendees learned more about how to maximize the program’s offerings.

The event also included the launch of TiE Connect, TiE Colombo’s official newsletter, and the induction of new Associate Members. Furthermore, TiE Colombo unveiled its new official website, colombo.tie.org, as part of its commitment to providing members with enhanced access to resources, events, and opportunities. The evening concluded with vibrant networking sessions, where members connected and shared insights over refreshments provided by Barista.

This launch represents a key milestone for TiE Colombo in its mission to support Sri Lankan entrepreneurs and foster innovation through global collaborations and mentorship.
