The two-day BPO Summit Bangladesh 2023 will be held for the fifth time at the Rupsi Bangla Grand Ballroom of the Hotel Intercontinental in the capital on July 22-23 after the first divisional level BPO conference. The conference will be inaugurated by the Honorable Speaker of the Parliament of Bangladesh Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury. Chairman of BTRC Mr. Shyam Sundar Sikdar, Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Department Mr. Md. Samsul Arefin and Director General of Directorate Md. Mostafa Kamal will also be present in this event held under the chairmanship of State Minister of Information and Communication Technology Mr. Junaid Ahmed Palak, MP.
Also, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Mr. Mustafa Jabbar will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Tapan Kanti Ghosh, senior secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, is present as a special guest. Bacco general secretary Tauhid Hossain said these things in a press conference held at Bacco office in Banani on Wednesday 19 July 2023 highlighting the preparations for the conference.
It was informed in the press conference that seminars on 9 important topics of BPO sector will be held on two days of the conference. 4 seminars will be held on the first day itself. And 5 seminars will be held on the second day. The seminars will also run online in hybrid mode. The domestic and foreign speakers will highlight many issues related to contemporary information and technology in the seminar, including challenges and preparations to achieve the target of one lakh employment and $1 billion revenue in Bangladesh’s BPO sector by 2025. They will also present the strategy of becoming an entrepreneur from a freelancer.
BACCO President Wahid Sharif presided over the press conference on behalf of BACCO Executive Committee, Joint General Secretary Mr. Tanjirul Basar, Director Mr. AKM Ahmedul Islam Babu and Mr. Fazlul Haque were also present. They answered various questions of the media workers present.
BPO Summit Bangladesh 2023 was organized under the initiative of ‘Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO)’ and with the cooperation of ‘Business Promotion Council’ under the Ministry of Commerce.
