The Coca-Cola Foundation joins forces with World Vision Lanka to celebrate World Environment Day at World Trade Center

WTC PR 2 (LBN)

In celebration of World Environment Day on June 5th, 2024, The Coca-Cola Foundation and World Vision Lanka established three new drop-in collection facilities at the World Trade Center, Colombo. Under the ASPIRE Project, the event featured an inauguration ceremony and informative awareness sessions in the lobby of the World Trade Centre, aimed at educating tenants and visitors on the importance of segregating and recycling PET plastic bottles and encouraging everyone to bring PET plastic bottles from home. This collaboration ensures all PET waste collected within the World Trade Center is properly segregated and recycled. The ASPIRE Project aims to boost PET collection through 30 strategically placed drop-in facilities. The initiative empowers communities and promotes sustainable waste management, helping to meet the project’s overall targets.
