The British Council -in partnership with Study UK- is helping students prepare for their move to the UK by hosting an exclusive Pre-Departure Briefing on Wednesday the 26th of July 2023.

Open to all students from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal who have received either a conditional or unconditional offer letter from a recognised education institution in the UK, the virtual event will give these students an opportunity to connect with representatives from UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI). This will equip them with crucial advice and information, as a result the students will develop the confidence to transit to their new environment and studies seamlessly.

The briefing is scheduled for 3.30pm to 5pm local time for Sri Lankan students set to begin their respective courses in the UK either in September 2023 or January 2024, and will cover a range of topics: namely student visa application, accommodation options, alumni experiences, health, safety, and overall wellbeing; among other aspects of living and studying in the UK.
