The TBS Niduwara College of Nursing, a distinguished name in Sri Lankan health education, held a grand graduation ceremony in Kandy, celebrating the achievements of students who successfully completed the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 03 Caregiving course. Since 2022, the College has been offering various sought-after programmes, including the four-day TBS Caregiving course, the internationally recognised NVQ Level 03 course which essential for those who wish to pursue global caregiving careers, and the Nursing Assistant NVQ Level 04 course. Operated under the TBS Group, the Institution has produced highly skilled caregivers, nursing assistants, and pharmaceutical assistants, contributing to Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector.
Niduwara College of Nursing, conceived by TBS Group Directors Nuwan Jayakody, Thushara Dissanayake, and Dulendra Herath, functions under the supervision of Principal Thushara Dissanayake and is approved by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC). The ceremony was presided over by Susantha Ratnayake, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Peradeniya, and Ananda Uyanwatta, President of the Kandy Red Cross Society. Other distinguished guests included TBS Institute’s Legal Advisor Geeth Yahatugoda, Advisor Miraj Farooq, and Walton Campus President Rasi Ahmed. Certificates were awarded to 80 students who completed the NVQ Level 03 Nursing course, guided by Chief Lecturers D.M.N. Dassanayake and B.M. Oshadhee Dianika. Additionally, 10 students received diplomas in Hotel Management from the TBS Hotel School in Kandy. With campuses in Kandy and Kadawatha, Niduwara College of Nursing invites students to step confidently toward their future, pursuing excellence and realising their dreams in healthcare and beyond.
