Standard Chartered Priority Golf Championship returns to Victoria Golf Resort with spectacular success

03rd March 2025: Standard Chartered Sri Lanka successfully hosted its Priority clients to the annual highly anticipated Priority Golf Championship 2025, at the picturesque Victoria Golf & Country Resort in Digana recently.

The exclusive two-day event brought together over 70 of the bank’s valued Priority clients. They were treated to an exceptional experience that began on February 28th with a private express train journey from Colombo Fort to Kandy, and then to Victoria Golf Resort in Digana via luxury busses. Participants enjoyed luxurious accommodations in breathtaking properties surrounding the golf course, with the day culminating in an elegant networking dinner.

 



 

The championship teed off early morning on March 1st, with players competing across the world-renowned course throughout the morning. The subsequent awards ceremony recognised outstanding performers in multiple categories, including separate championships for men and women. Adding to the excitement was the coveted prize of a brand new BYD Electric Vehicle for any player achieving a hole-in-one.

Ehantha Sirisena emerged the winner of the Standard Chartered Priority Golf Championship 2025 in the Men’s category, with Dhammika Prasad Ranasinghe as the Runner-up. In the Ladies’ Division, Ahalya Rajan was the Winner and Roshini Sangani the Runner-up. The Best Standard Chartered Staff Golfer was won by Murray Fernandesz.

Following the awards ceremony, participants returned to Colombo aboard the private train, concluding what has become Standard Chartered Priority Banking’s signature annual event.
