Standard Chartered has announced the appointment of Yohan Samarakkody as Country Chief Risk Officer (CCRO) and Head of Operational Risk for Sri Lanka, effective 1st March 2023.
Yohan counts for over 15 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Equity Research and Banking. In his previous roles prior to joining Standard Chartered, he was instrumental in setting up a Corporate Finance department as well as an Equity Research unit in the local market. Prior to taking up his new role as CCRO, Yohan was a part of Standard Chartered Sri Lanka’s Risk function as Senior Credit Manager for Local & International Corporates.

Yohan Samarakkody holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (External) from the University of Kelaniya. He is an ACMA (UK) and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Investment Analysis from ICFAI University, Dehradun, India and an M.A. in Financial Economics from the University of Colombo.
