Shangri-La Colombo host a four day Expo, showcasing a range of Sri Lankan products and sporting goods.
IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo showcases local products and services to the world and to put Sri Lanka on the map in an arena of sports. The IRONMAN EXPO 70.3 EXPO 2018 will be held from February 22nd to the 25th, 2018 at the Shangri-La Colombo, Ballroom. It will be the meeting point of 880 athletes, well-wishers and spectators while it will house the registration, message boards and presentations for the grand event.
Prospective stall holders will be able to present their brand to a highly engaged and promising target group actively seeking to improve their race and families who are on vacation and these people are part of a group that believe in a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing.
The expo will take place in the immediate vicinity of the finish line while the exhibitors will benefit from direct contact with athletes, family members and passers-by on the weekend of the race. IRONMAN 70.3 EXPO 2018 will give Sri Lankan vendors a chance to showcase their products to the world, outside the traditional norms of tourism to a new segment of potential tourists and possible investors in addition to stimulating the interest of local athletes.
The event hopes to attract 3,000 plus people of high yielding sports travellers along with their families and friends and in turn make Sri Lanka as a destination of choice to compete and travel while also giving them a uniquely Sri Lankan experience.
Local cottage industries will also be given a change to engage in the event through various event supplies thereby create economic opportunities for them while the organisers hope to host a sustainable and environmentally friendly event. Entrance to the IRONMAN EXPO 70.3 EXPO 2018 will be free to all including general public.
