Several media websites have published the above news using the photograph of the Hon. Minister of Ports and Shipping Rohitha Abeygunawardena. It is emphasized that there is no intervention of the Hon. Minister in any means, in the tender procedure of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA). Accordingly, it is emphasized that the process is being carried out under the supervision of the relevant officials of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA).
The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) has a clear and accurate procedure for procuring any goods or services for the institution. Accordingly, firstly, sealed bids are called through national newspaper advertisements only from suppliers registered annually as suppliers of the SLPA.
