Softlogic Restaurants Pvt Ltd., part of the Softlogic group of companies, and the Master Franchisee in Sri Lanka for global brands Burger King, Baskin-Robbins and Délifrance, has been ranked among the Best Workplaces in Asia 2019 in the Small & Medium Category by Great Place to Work®, in a major endorsement of the Company’s human resources practices.

This prestigious recognition is based on the results of a study of Best Workplaces in Sri Lanka in 2018, forwarded for benchmarking at a regional level, and places Softlogic Restaurants among an exclusive group of organisations in Asia that focus on creating and sustaining high-trust, high-integrity, and high-performing cultures for their people.

All Asia Award winners from Sri Lanka are to be recognised at the ‘Sri Lanka’s Best Workplaces 2019’ Awards Ceremony scheduled to be held in Colombo on 5th July 2019, the Company said.

Softlogic Restaurants is the only chain of restaurants in Sri Lanka to have been honoured with this prestigious accolade.

Commenting on this milestone achievement, Softlogic Restaurants CEO Mr Suresh Jayawardana said: “We are naturally delighted to be ranked as one of the best workplaces not just in Sri Lanka but in Asia. A large part of an employee’s life is spent on the job hence it is important that the organisation is regarded as a home away from home and not just a workplace. We are very proud that the employees of Softlogic Restaurants regard the company as a great place to work.”

“In our industry, we work directly with the end customer and if front-end employees aren’t happy, they probably will not deliver the world class service that we demand. This recognition of the hard work of the senior, middle management and supervisory teams in creating a happy culture makes us very proud.”

The Small & Medium category in which Softlogic Restaurants has been recognised comprises of the 25 Best Workplaces in Asia employing between 20 and 499 people. To be considered for inclusion, companies had to appear on one or more of the Great Place to Work® national lists in eight countries — Greater China, India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka and UAE. More than 1,200 organisations were eligible to be considered for the honours this year.

The Softlogic Group has extensive credentials in restaurant management as the master franchisee for Burger King, Baskin-Robbins and Délifrance, currently adding up to 32 restaurants and cafes in Sri Lanka, and has also launched its own concept restaurant — ‘Wan Ge Di Ya’ — offering a carefully selected range of signature “street food” dishes from eight Asian countries, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore.
