Softlogic Life Amongst top 5 Innovations at Microsoft Global Hackathon 2024 – A 1st For Sri Lanka

Writing a new page in the history books, Softlogic Life, Sri Lanka’s life insurer with the largest customer base became the country’s first company to secure a place among the top five winners at the largest private hackathon on the planet “Microsoft Global Hackathon 2024”. Competing amongst 70,000 participants from 85 countries, Softlogic Life garnered this recognition for its ground-breaking idea called ‘Gluc-Guard’ in the area of social impact.
 



 

Microsoft Global Hackathon 2024, which was sponsored by its Chief Technology Officer Kevin Scott, is the world’s largest annual private hackathon and attracts some of the world’s most renowned organizations, including technology giants, multinational corporations, startups, and industry disruptors. These companies leverage their expertise in fields such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, blockchain and software development to create, innovate, and hack on ideas ranging from education and responsible AI to transportation, healthcare, and diversity and inclusion. Despite competing against seasoned tech innovators and pioneers in the social impact space, Softlogic Life’s idea emerged as a standout solution.
