“SLT Speedup Cycle Sawariya” Day 4 marked the finish line at Trincomalee

The 4th day of SLT Speedup Cycle Sawariya men’s race started from Kurunegala and marked the finish at Trincomalee yesterday. The race travelled through Wariyapola, Thambuttegama, Anuradhapura, Medawachchiya, Vauniya, Kebithigollawa, Morawewa and reached the end point at Trincomalee covering a distance of 241Km. Meanwhile the 1st day of women race reached the finish line at Kurunegala in the same day. Women race started in front of SLT Head office, Colombo and travelled through Peliyagoda, Kiribathgoda, Kadawata, Nittambuwa, warakapola, Polgahawela and reached the end point Kurunegala covering a distance of 90Km.

Women’s race day 1 winners: winner of the day B.A.S.Dilhani of Sri Lanka Army, 1st runner-up Ayesha Madhushani of Sri Lanka Navy, 2nd and runner-up Panchali Sulochana of Sri Lanka Air Force.

SLT speedup cycle sawariya final day (men) will start from Trincomalee today and  finish at Dambulla while the women race will start at Kurunegala and reach the finish line at Dambulla.

The first-ever competitive cycling event for juniors will also commence today from Dambulla and travel through Habarana, Kekirawa then back to Dambulla to mark the finish line.
