Colombo, February 22, 2022 – Reiterating its commitment to transforming Sri Lanka with cutting-edge digital solutions, SLT-MOBITEL, the National ICT Solutions Provider has partnered with the Department for Registration of Persons (DRP), marking an important milestone in Sri Lanka’s telecommunication history  by facilitating the authentication  of details of the National Identity Cards (NICs) for customers who patronise services from SLT-MOBITEL, through a digitalised platform.

The MoU was signed between Viyani Gunathilaka, the Commissioner General of the Department for Registration of Persons and Chandika Vitharena, Chief Executive Officer, Mobitel (Pvt) ltd., accompanied by senior officials representing both SLT-MOBITEL and the Department for Registration of Persons.
