The SLIIT offered UK’s prestigious Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) LLB (Hons) Degree has received formal recognition from the Law College Incorporated Council of Legal Education of Sri Lanka.
Now, students who select the globally acclaimed British Degree have gained the added advantage of receiving formal local recognition and can now augment their careers by sitting for the Law College final examination cementing their career pathways towards practicing Attorneys at Law.
As a fully franchised and fully qualifying UK Law degree, the LJMU LLB (Hons) programme seeks to transform undergraduates into legal professionals able to compete locally and in the global arena. Moreover, the degree is also accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board UK.
The three-year, full-time degree programme consists of core modules providing students a strong understanding of the fundamental principles of English law, optional modules including mooting, mediation, negotiation, human rights, financial crimes, banking and international law ensuring undergraduates can explore the place of law in society while making a direct contribution to its practice and application.
