Project Completed in Record time of Seven Months

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Singer Group Manufacturing factory based in Piliyandala and Regnis Lanka PLC Ratmalana, the manufacturing  facilities of Sri Lanka’s largest  home appliance and electronics retailer- Singer Sri Lanka, have chosen IFS as their central ERP platform to boost productivity and decision-making.

Regnis (Lanka) PLC manufactures white goods, including a range of refrigerators and washing machines that are sold through its parent company Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC. The IFS solution was implemented across five factories: Singer Solid Furniture, Singer Modular Furniture, Singer Agro and Domestic Water Pumps as well as Regnis Lanka’s – refrigerator manufacturing and washing machine manufacturing branches.

The fact that the project implementation was carried out under the new normal, utilizing mostly online and remote resources is a testament to the fact that technology is a true enabler of business continuity during challenging times.

“We are excited to embark on this journey of digital transformation to our manufacturing bases with IFS, whose technology has been underpinning our operations since 2006,” said Mahesh Wijewardene, Group CEO of Singer Sri Lanka PLC. “A diversified business such as ours requires robust and user-friendly tools to ensure there is only one version of the truth and that we are using reliable, real-time data to inform our decision-making.
