Shield, a leading Hand Sanitizer brand of Hemas Consumer Brands has once again stepped forward to support the nation’s course in curbing the Covid-19 outbreak. Following the footsteps of Hemas Consumer Brands’ efforts to promote healthful living and considering the current situation of the country, Shield set up 28 hand-sanitizing units at vaccine centers within western province and Galle to help ensure the safety of people who arrived in their numbers to be vaccinated.

The Shield team also spearheaded an activity to create awareness among 50,000 citizens on the necessary precautions to be taken post-vaccination. A leaflet containing precautionary measures, compiled in collaboration with the office of the Provincial Director of Health Services was distributed to each person who arrived to be vaccinated.

Commenting on this effort of Shield, Naveed Anjoon, Marketing Manager at Hemas Consumer Brands said, “We are indeed happy to lend a helping hand to the government’s vaccination drive and its efforts to curb the Covid-19 outbreak. We noticed that most people are unaware of the precautionary measures to be taken post-vaccination. Shield, being a brand focusing on the health and safety of families realized it as a social responsibility to educate the public and help in curbing the spread of Covid-19. Having received good feedback from the public, we are planning to expand this initiative to other areas as well.”

As a Brand, which is truly committed to health and hygiene, Shield with the support of Hemas Consumer Brands continues to protect Sri Lankan families. In trying times such as this, it is of utmost importance to maintain a high level of hygiene at all times especially in vaccination centers around the country. As stated by the World Health Organization (WHO), the only way that we can end this pandemic is by vaccinating a majority of the population. Shield along with Hemas Consumer identified this and decided to actively support the government’s efforts in this regard.

Shield is a truly Sri Lankan brand that advocates a healthy lifestyle along with a comprehensive health focused product portfolio from Hand Sanitizer, Soap and Hand wash. Shield Hand Sanitizer is available in bottles of 50ml, 200ml and 225ml, which make them highly portable for everyday usage. Shield Hand Wash is available in 200ml bottles and 200ml refill packs in two variants: Shield Original and Shield Nourish.
