It’s time for Samsung consumers to be awed by the blinding brilliance of up and coming Samsung products, as the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) is officially back.
While SDC21 will look a little different compared to previous events, consumers can rest assured that, like each and every SDC, it will be packed with announcements that the developer community would not want to miss.
From the Bixby and the SmartThings SDK (Software Development Kit), One UI, Smart TV services and the Infinity Flex Display, SDC has become known for unveiling innovations that empower developers and creators to build the software and services of tomorrow.
Kicking off on October 26, this year’s SDC will be the first to be held entirely online. The SDC, which started in 2013, is an annual event that brings thousands of developers, content creators and designers to discuss future technologies and services. Samsung has been also unveiling its upcoming technologies and software visions at the event.
The SDC has been usually held near Silicon Valley, California, where major IT companies are located, between October and November.
The conference focused on mobile technologies in the early days, but in recent years, it also presented new solutions in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT).
In the 2019 SDC, some 5,000 people participated in the event and exchanged their ideas on various technologies and services that can improve user experience.
This year’s Samsung Developer Conference 2021 teased the launch of new software, SmartThing and showcase of technologies that will enable Samsung device users to unlock the full power of innovations like Bixby and the blockchain ecosystem.
The company is also introducing enhancements that will make it easier for developers to enrich Bixby and the SmartThings IoT platform with useful services, and in doing so, create more ways for users to infuse intelligence into everything they do.
At the end of the day, SDC is about inspiring people to pursue meaningful innovation. Which is why those joining the conference are also exposed to projects and initiatives that are making a tangible difference in the world, like the Samsung Global Goals app.
Created to support the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, the educational and donation-based mobile app offers a simple way for the Galaxy community to support the causes they care about. So make sure to save the date!
