Sampath Bank recently announced that it has partnered with Neth FM to present a special series of on-air seminars for the benefit of students sitting  the Grade 5 Scholarship exam this year. The special seminar started from the 2nd of June 2019, every Sunday from 5 PM to 6 PM on Neth FM.

In conjunction with the on-air seminars on Neth FM, Sampath Bank has taken steps to broaden the accessibility of the program to students across the island by live streaming the programs via Neth FM’s official Facebook page. Candidates for the Grade 5 Scholarship exam can collect the relevant question papers free of charge for the on-air seminars by visiting the nearest Sampath Bank.

This year’s on-air seminar will be similar to the previous seminars held by Sampath Bank, where a dedicated phone line in addition to a feedback facility via Facebook and SMS will be open for students. This will create a conducive platform for exam candidates to interact with the resource persons during the discussion of the question papers and clear their doubts.

Both new and existing Samapth Bank savings account holders are eligible to collect the free scholarship question paper book in return for a deposit of R. 1500/- in their Pubudu or Sapiri savings account. The Grade 5 Scholarship exam candidates will be also eligible for a Scholarship reward if they have a minimum balance of Rs. 5000/- in their Pubudu or Sapiri savings account, prior to the Grade 5 Scholarship exam date.

Sampath Bank has steered a number of programs in line with the Grade 5 Scholarship examination every year, providing motivational guidance and support to prepare young candidates to confidently face the exam and achieve the best results.

As a bank that aims to spread the importance of inculcating the habit of saving from a very young age, Sampath Bank facilitates two children’s saving accounts namely Pubudu and Sapiri. Apart from offering high interest rates, Pubudu and Sapiri savings accounts deliver a wide array of interesting benefits including valuable gifts as well as attractive gift vouchers throughout the year.

Sampath Pubudu or Sapiri savings accounts can be opened with a minimum deposit of Rs. 500 and as the balance continues to grow, the child will be rewarded with gifts starting from a till, schoolbag, mountain bikes, Home Theatre systems and even a wide screen LED TV. The top depositors of the year are also eligible to win tours to Singapore accompanied by a parent.
