COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Sabry Bahaudeen, General Manager and Director of Classic Travel, was elected as the President of the Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka (TAASL) 2021-2022 at the 46th Annual General Meeting held at BMICH, recently.
With over 24 years of experience working in the travel industry with Classic Travel, Sabry has actively served as a diligent member while also serving as the Junior Vice President of TAASL since 2020. TAASL is the national body for travel agents in the country, with representation on the governing boards of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourist Hotel Management (SLITHM), and the Tourism Industry Skills Council.
“I, with the support of my council, look forward to a transformative year – a year where we will consistently focus on resolving prevailing challenges in the industry and rebuilding the Travel and Tourism of Sri Lanka stronger than before. My ultimate vision is to ensure that travel becomes easily accessible to all Sri Lankans by equipping our travel service providers with the right knowledge and skills.” said Sabry Bahaudeen, president-elect of TAASL 2021-2022. “I look forward to achieving our goals by working very closely with all stakeholders and contributing to strengthening the Sri Lankan travel force and taking Sri Lankan Travel & Tourism to higher levels.”
