Royal Institute Colombo holds career day in collaboration with PwC Sri Lanka

The Royal Institute of Colombo (RIC) in collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) organized a Career Day, which provided RIC undergraduates with the chance to engage in informative sessions led by PwC’s leadership team to explore many opportunities and benefits of working at an esteemed global organization.

The internships offered by PwC will provide students with a solid foundation for their future careers.

As part of the structured internship program, students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various key divisions at PwC, Tax, Deals, Oracle Consulting, Data Analytics, Consulting Finance & Risk ad International Development Assistance among others.

The internship program offered by PwC goes beyond just providing valuable work experience. The program is designed to help the interns with personalized support and mentorship throughout their internship. PwC will help the interns assess their skills and interests and provide guidance in selecting a career path that aligns with their unique talents and aspirations. This approach will ensure that the interns receive a well-versed experience.

Channa Manoharan, the Chief Operating Officer and Advisory Leader of PwC Sri Lanka and Maldives, speaking on the program stated, “At PwC, we believe in the tremendous value of on-the-job development and networking for our interns. Our program helps interns to gain a deeper understanding of the industry along with having the opportunity to build connections, learn from experienced professionals and gain real-world experiences which can help them make significant strides in their career.”

Chief Digital Officer of PwC Sri Lanka, Haresh Perera explaining the benefits offered thought the internship said “Our internship will be a transformative experience where students will have an overall exposure in working across a variety of industries and diverse projects. They will undertake challenging and relevant work engagements, networking events and other exciting opportunities, as well as being involved in interesting extracurricular activities”.

The Career Day had the undergraduates eagerly interacting with industry leaders from PwC to learn about various career opportunities available that matched their interests and future goals.
