On Saturday, December 28, 2019, Rootcode Labs gathered to celebrate the end of the year by revelling and recalling their wonderful memories of 2019 in style at the Annual Gala Night, held at Elevate, Access Towers in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

h the team of Rootcoders, the event hosted a number of noteworthy individuals representing the Sri Lankan IT industry to witness the growth and milestones of the emerging company. The families of the Rootcoders were also present at the event to witness the proceedings and were dearly appreciated for giving support for the Rootcoders to succeed in their career paths.
The chief guest for the evening, Mr. Mangala Perera – Vice President of Software Operations, IFS gave an insightful speech about Intrapreneurship – the act of practising the characteristics of an entrepreneur while working within an organization. He outlined the importance of aspiring employees to take up responsibility, driving innovation from product development to process improvements while growing within the team to create an impact and add value to the organization.
The Founder and CEO of Rootcode labs, Mr. Alagan Mahalingam, outlined the crowd about the achievements in 2019 including the new footprint in Europe through the brand new office in Estonia. He also shared statistics about how the sales have reached new countries and continents in 2019. Mr. Mahalingam also presented his grand vision for Rootcode and shared his 2025 targets which includes growing to 500 employees, making Artificial intelligence (AI) a priority, building an enterprise product to solve business’ biggest problems.
