Ritzbury Summa Super 16 junior Rugby Carnival 2024 to ignite young rugby talent

Ritzbury, is proud to announce its continued support of the ‘Ritzbury Summa Super 16 Junior Rugby Carnival 2024’. Now in the third year of its sponsorship, the initiative reaffirms Ritzbury’s commitment to encouraging young sporting talent across Sri Lanka.

The 15th consecutive year of the ‘Ritzbury Summa Super 16 Junior Rugby Carnival promises an exhilarating exhibition of budding rugby stars. With an impressive lineup of 112 teams representing 44 schools, the carnival will feature intense matches in the Under 10 and Under 12 categories.
 



 
The carnival’s schedule began with the 1st Round on the 29th of September at the Royal Sports Complex (RSC), followed by the 2nd Round on the 12th of October. The 3rdRound is scheduled to take place on the 2nd of November at the RSC. The 4th Round is set to take place on the 16th of November at Bogambara Grounds, Kandy

Notably, the final round’s location was strategically planned to take place in Kandy. The decision aims to broaden opportunities for schools and students in the region, ensuring their active participation in the much-awaited prestigious event.

The carnival’s primary goal is to advance rugby and provide aspiring young ruggerites with a platform to showcase their skills in friendly clashes. In the spirit of true sportsmanship, the carnival does not crown a champion, inspiring all players to participate in a sport that represents grit, commitment, and camaraderie.
