Sri Lanka’s premier Games & Esports organisation Gamer.LK is all set to kick off the seventh edition of its Inter-University Esports Championship ‘22 powered by SLT-MOBITEL which brings the excitement and thrill of Esports to the university level. The Championship will be held online and is open to students studying in Universities and higher education institutes in Sri Lanka.
Considered to be the biggest sporting event among universities, the Championship drew over 1,100 students last year representing over 80 universities across the island such as the University of Moratuwa, University of Colombo, University of Ruhuna, University of Kelaniya, NSBM, IIT, SLIIT, KDU, CINEC, ICBT, ACBT, ESOFT, NIBM, BCAS and many more. APIIT secured the coveted Inter-University Esports Championship title in 2016, ICBT in 2017, SLIIT in 2018, IIT in 2019, NSBM in 2020 and the University of Moratuwa in 2021.

This year’s Championship features some of Sri Lanka’s favourite video game titles across mobile, PC and console. This year’s titles are Arena of Valor (Mobile 5v5), Assetto Corsa (PC Solo Race), Call of Duty 4 (PC 5v5), Call of Duty Mobile (Mobile Solo BR & 5v5 MP), Call of Duty Warzone (PC Solo BR), Clash Royale (Mobile 1v1), Dota 2 (PC 5v5), FIFA 21 (PS4/5 1v1), Free Fire (Mobile Solo BR), League of Legends (PC 5v5), Mario Kart Tour (Mobile Race), Mobile Legends (Mobile 5v5), PUBG Mobile (Mobile Solo BR), Rainbow Six Siege (PC 5v5), Real Cricket (Mobile 1v1), Rocket League (PC 1v1) and Valorant (PC 5v5).
