Rajib Moni Das received the Bioscope Star Award. In 2024, he was honored as the best playwright at the Bioscope Star Awards. The award ceremony, organized by the Bioscope Cultural Foundation, was held at the Hotel Arnett, Bijoy Nagar, in a grand arrangement. Rajib Moni Das, recognized as the best playwright, was awarded at this event.
During the ceremony, the chief guest, Minister for Liberation War Affairs A.K.M. Mozammel Haque, MP, and special guest singer Alam Ara Minu presented the award for the best playwright to Rajib Moni Das.
Rajib Moni Das has written nearly one hundred and fifty single plays and thirteen serial plays so far. He has written about thirty songs and four novels – ‘Tahar Jonno Aar Kono ChintaNei’ (No More Worries for That), ‘Mr. Brain’, ‘Baba’ (Father), and ‘Ek Poshla Brishti’ (A Drizzle of Rain). He has also created and produced concepts for more than twenty-five advertisements.
Regarding the honor, Rajib Moni Das said that culture plays a significant role in changing the fundamental foundation of a country. As a playwright, his effort is to change society and people’s mindset through drama, providing joy and messages. He considers even a minor change as his greatest achievement. He added that through collective efforts, drama, novels, and performances can contribute to preventing cultural degeneration and can offer a healthy and enjoyable environment for teenagers and young adults
