Thursday, 2nd February 2023, Colombo; Keeping to its promises, Prime Group recently completed the handover of 63 housing units at Prime Evoke in Kadawatha. This was Prime’s 6th handover for the year 2022. Peace, quiet and connectivity have made Prime Evoke in Kadawatha a popular choice for homemakers.

“It is very satisfying for us to close the year with another successful handover,” said Ruminda Randeniya, CEO of Prime Lands (Pvt) Ltd. “It is in an excellent location at Kadawatha and very close to a host of shopping, restaurants, banks, schools, hospitals, bus stations, jogging paths and recreational areas. There are also several government and private institutions within walking distance. It is easily accessible and very close to the Kadawatha Interchange on the Southern Expressway with convenient connections to the existing and proposed highways. You can choose to travel to the Bandaranaike International Airport at Katunayake either on the highway or on the normal road through Ganemulla and Ekala. Kadawatha being on the main Colombo – Kandy (A1) road is one of the best-connected towns in Sri Lanka.”

Prime Evoke consists of two- and three-bedroom, single-storey and two-storey houses of between 731 to 1398 sq. ft. “The houses with unique design are ideally suited for those starting out in life with young families and also those who seek a calm and relaxing retirement.” continued Randeniya.

Several residents of Prime Evoke spoke at the handover ceremony. Prof. M.T.M. Mahees said, “I personally believe that the company would have had many challenges because completing this project in the country’s current economic environment is not an easy task. Therefore, we have to first thank them for completing the houses according to the required standards without compromising the quality and handing over to us. That is what we expect from the developer. That they have completed the task without harming the client is greatly appreciated. Even the common amenities are done well. I’m referring to things like roads, retaining walls and such. As human beings we have to be happy in our lives. Even a visitor who comes to our house says that this is a compact and beautiful house. It is easy to maintain even as you age. We are happy with this model because there is no wastage. We should therefore thank the residents also for choosing simplicity and elegance.”

Environmentalist Ms. Shamodi Ireshika Nanayakkara, owner of housing unit 68 said, “This is a really a good way to end the year 2022 and to mark the beginning of 2023. The past two-three years have been really difficult for the country, nationwide, with the Covid and the economic recession. One of the industries that was heavily affected was the construction industry. Despite the doubts that we had, as people who invested in Prime, we are proud because they have overcome all those difficulties. Thank you Prime for keeping that trust, in spite of the difficult times. I’m an environmentalist by profession and this is my first home. I’m from Kandy and a fan of nature and the village atmosphere. I was looking for a calm and serene environment and a simple house that could be easily maintained amidst our busy lives and not too far away from Colombo. I think I speak for all when I say that this project fulfills all those requirements. This is an ideal setting with sweet homes; cute homes that are affordable and with a simple lifestyle. Thank you Prime for bringing in this concept that blends into the environment.”
