Partners in Population and Development (PPD)- an Inter-Governmental Organization for South-South Cooperation (SSC) in Reproductive Health, Population, and Development, in collaboration with Govt. of Bangladesh and UNFPA in organizing a series of significant events to be held from 07-09 July 2024 at Pan-pacific Sonargoan, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The events are: 39th Executive Committee Meeting. 27th PPD Board Meeting. 24th Partners Country Coordinator (PCC) Meeting. 21st International Inter-Ministerial Conference on South-South Cooperation in Population and Development.
To ensure the success of these pivotal gatherings, a preparatory meeting was held on 22nd June 2024 at the PPD Secretariat in Dhaka. Dr. Samanta Lal Sen, the Host Country’s Honorable Minister of Health and Family Welfare, and PPD Board Member presided over the preparatory meeting.
Md. Azizur Rahman, Secretary, of Medical Education and Family Welfare Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh, moderated this preparatory meeting.

Mr.S.M Ahsanul Aziz, Joint Secretary (Population-1) and PPD Affairs Desk officer at MOHFW were present the preparatory meeting.
The major focus of conversation was an in-depth discussion of the roles to be played by the various ministries in ensuring the success of PPD’s annual event. Mr. Oliver Zambuko, Officer-in-Charge, and Dr. Nazrul Islam, Sr. Program Manager of PPD skillfully led the Meeting.
