Playwright Rajib Moni Das shared, “Puspita works hard, but she does it for the family. Yet, when she returns home after long hours of duty, she faces constant disputes with her husband and finds her efforts unappreciated. If the same work were done by her husband, it would have been valued. This stark contrast forms the core theme of the story, and I hope the audience will enjoy it.”
The story follows Puspita, an inspector, who, due to her demanding job, is often unavailable to spend time with her husband. This leads to frequent quarrels between them. Her husband, Rana, feels neglected and sits by the riverbank in despair, but his mother tries to explain that everything Puspita does is for the family. Ultimately, Rana, feeling hopeless, considers leaving the village. In a twist, a rival plots against him, framing him for a crime. One morning, Rana finds a child’s body by the river and, when trying to help, is caught by the villagers. Despite being her own husband, Puspita, as the inspector, arrests him.
This realistic and gripping drama will be aired on a private channel during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr special programming, according to the director’s sources.
