For the first time in its history, the annual National Law Conference was converted to a “Hybrid” conference due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was organized by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka and managed by professional conference organizers Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services (Pvt.) Ltd.
Under the COVID Guidelines published by the Ministry of Health a limited number of resource persons and participants were physically present at the conference, while several resource persons and a majority of participants attended virtually. The two-day event was concluded successfully.
NLC 2021 was held under the theme of “Futurism,” which was described as an attempt to envisage a future from the present “new normal” to a “new dynamic.” The Conference undoubtedly assisted legal professionals to be more prepared towards what the future brings. In light of the above theme the Conference addressed and discussed a wide variety of new and dynamic topics that will arise within the next decade.
