mymech is Sri Lanka’s first digital platform designed to connect mechanics and vehicle owners with adequate information regarding their services. The platform has branded mechanical services to vendors, helping the owners of any vehicle to get consistent and quality services. The startup was launched as a one-stop-shop platform for car owners, helping them to connect with a variety of necessary services. Founder and CEO Mohamed Afzal has humble beginnings, coming from generations of car repair specialists. The platform has now expanded where the mechanics can offer digital invoices and payment methods online. They have also launched their e-commerce site where you can purchase genuine car spare parts with ease at compatible prices.

The tailor-made platform is carefully crafted to ensure the car owner can locate a mechanic who is an expert on a specific car brand and book the service of a mechanic or garage that suits your budget. mymech aims to digitally transform the auto tech industry through its app. Afzal stated, “The mymech mobile app integrates a complete CRM platform where a specific car owner can easily locate a reliable place to get any care-related service done for their vehicle. Whether it’s a simple car wash, breakdown, maintenance or an expert to check the car you intend to buy. Additionally, the mechanics can organise their day-to-day operations and streamline their schedule as well enhance their income avenue”.

As of today, there are more than 150 registered mechanics and garages on mymech and about 2500 vehicle owners who have obtained the service through the platform and more than 100 inquiring and visiting the platform daily. When the digital platform started in 2017, it was about digitising the overall automobile industry in Sri Lanka. The app founder personally has done extensive research on the market before building the platform.

The network of mechanics or garage partners can serve promptly, be it a simple car wash, a complex engine repair, routine car maintenance or breakdown. The car services are categorised in the platform into car breakdown, car maintenance, car spa and car inspection.

mymech has initiated a specialized e-commerce marketplace of spare parts dealers. Every car owner spends ample time finding spare parts by walking on the streets of Panchikawatta. The e-commerce marketplace helps car owners to find genuine spare parts.

The spare parts marketplace is the first of its kind that enables car owners the widest range of quality car spare parts available to purchase and get delivered online.

The mechanic or garage partner network is located in multiple locations in Sri Lanka and growing day by day. Car owners can locate a mechanic in any major city and choose a mechanic or workshop near them. You can easily find a mechanic in Colombo, Gampaha, Kandy, Galle, Anuradhapura, Negombo or even Jaffna.
