April 30, 2024: Sri Lanka’s fastest growing primary healthcare provider Medihelp Hospitals, in collaboration with Mount Elizabeth Singapore and IHH Patient Assistant Centre Sri Lanka Office, proudly hosted a comprehensive lifestyle seminar aimed at educating the public on the prevention and prediction of prostate cancer.
The event took place at the newly inaugurated Medihelp Wellness Center, the 18th branch of Medihelp Hospitals chain at Lipton Circus.
The seminar, centred on the critical theme of combating prostate cancer, was conducted by esteemed urologist Dr. Chin Chong Min, renowned for his expertise in urological surgeries and bladder disorders. Dr. Chin Chong Min, practicing at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore, shared invaluable insights garnered from his vast experience in treating urinary cancers, including prostate cancer, utilizing advanced techniques such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from a diverse audience, comprising individuals keen on understanding preventive measures against prostate cancer.
Dignitaries gracing the occasion included esteemed personalities from Medihelp, including Chairman Leslie Wijesiriwardana, Laboratory Director Sunanda Wijesiriwardana, Medical Director Dr. Charitha Wijesiriwardana, Executive Director Chandika Wijesiriwardana, and Chief Operating Officer Nishantha Jayamanne.
Additionally, Mount Elizabeth Hospital’s Regional Manager, Mr. Aliff Bin Arshad, and of IHH Patient Assistant Centre Sri Lanka Office, Mr. Shuvo Hridayesh, graced the event with their presence.
Prostate cancer remains a significant health concern globally, particularly among men.
