Marico Bangladesh Limited (MBL) proudly announced Team “Payback” as the champions of its flagship entrepreneurship and product innovation campus competition. “Over the Wall ” Season 2.
Devoted to fostering entrepreneurial spirit and local talent, the competition’s winners were announced at its grand finale event on Saturday, held at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden’s Utshab Banquet Hall.
The Grand Finale was concluded with a gala event, with teams “Fast” and “Mind Crusaders” becoming the 1st and 2nd runners-up of the competition.
After enduring 4 tense and difficult rounds of evaluations and idea pitching, the admirable feat of team “Payback” was made.
Young business people had a dynamic platform to display their creative concepts and business practicality all on “Over the Wall” Season 2. It provided participants with a special chance to study, develop, and prepare themselves for the cutthroat corporate world.
The program’s goal was to empower these up-and-coming talents and provide them the tools they needed to succeed in the increasingly competitive world of business through a number of rigorous rounds and professional mentoring.
The initial round required the participants to utilize their cognitive capabilities in an online gamified assessment while the 2nd round required participants to submit their Business Proposal of a disruptive and innovative product idea of the personal care industry locally. And right before the grand finale, participants had to pitch their perfect ideas with Marico Mentors.
The six finalist teams that qualified for the grand finale were: Team Payback, Mind Crusaders, Fast, Pristine, The Ackermans and White Leopards.
In the final round of the competition, the teams pitched their product ideas to a panel of distinguished judges, namely Rajat Diwaker, Managing Director of Marico Bangladesh ltd; Yasir Azman, CEO of Grameenphone ltd; Geetiara Safiya Chowdhury, Chairperson of AdCom; and Deepal Abewickman, Managing Director of Nestle Bangladesh.

The remarkable talent and skills of the country’s young students have been vividly showcased through the successful organization of ‘Over the Wall’ Season 2. Congratulations to the winning team; they will undoubtedly shape a brighter future for Bangladesh,” stated Rajat Diwaker, the Country Head of Marico Bangladesh during the event.
Geetiara Safiya Chowdhury, Chairperson of AdCom, expressed her hope, saying, “I envision the young generation playing a pivotal role in building our nation in the days to come, harnessing the remarkable ideas they’ve shared and translating them into highly promising scenarios.”
Deepal Abewickman, Managing Director of Nestle Bangladesh, praised the participants, saying, “Each presenter here is a true victor. They represent the future leaders who will significantly contribute to the success of Bangladesh that has highly depended on such invaluable Human Capital for its current success.”
Yasir Azman, CEO of Grameenphone Ltd., emphasized the significance of the event, remarking, “This event has served as a remarkable showcase for the excellent skills and fresh ideas that our country has to offer. I extend my gratitude to Marico for crafting and efficiently managing this wonderful program, for grooming and preparing our future leaders for the challenges ahead.”
This season’s registration phase of “Over the Wall” started earlier this year and out of 4200 students 1550 participant
teams took part in this competition. The winning team will be given the remarkable opportunity to do their internship abroad, participate in “Over the Wall” Season 11 for Marico India along with the winning prize worth BDT 3 lac 50 thousand from Marico.
The top three teams from last season were also provided the opportunity to participate in the grand finale of Marico Over the Wall Season 10 in India, where the business competition has been active for nine years, with the top two teams being provided with international internship and future career opportunities with MBL
