Digital disruptor, Arimac Digital, has released a mobile game via it’s hyper casual gaming portal ‘IMI Club’ in collaboration with Sri Lanka’s premier supermarket chain, Keells. The free-to-play game is available for iOS and Android devices via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, respectively.

Keells Power Shopper is a side-scrolling arcade-styled adventure game based in a fictitious environment resembling a Keells supermarket. The game is a simple infinite runner with access to a leader-board and rankings, where the player runs and collect power-ups in exchange for points. Real-time information with current players increases excitement and participation rates.

The game was first made public on the IMI Club portal—the gaming platform developed by Arimac Digital in late 2018. The platform is currently equipped with over 50 free-to-play single and multi-player mini games and over 25,000 active mobile gamers through IMI Club, a social community app connecting people across borders.

Points function as immediate positive reinforcement that take the form of mostly physical rewards, provided for executed actions. Players with the highest scores at the end of each week will be awarded PlayStation 4 gaming consoles. In excess of 10,000 players have already played the game according to in-game statistics.

“Brands that can capture consumers’ interest on mobile stand a stronger chance of converting them on the device they’re most comfortable with,” said Chamira Jayasinghe, CEO and Founder of Arimac Digital. “The key, however, is creating an experience compelling enough—and user-friendly enough—to turn people into consumers. Brands like Keells can leverage gamification to build their brand image and improve customer engagement. By creating IMI Club, we have been able to develop a platform to corporates to reach a ready-made youth audience”

Gamification is the application of game elements and digital game design techniques to non-game problems, such as business and social impact challenges. It is a motivation-based approach to increase the engagement and contributions of the target audience, as well as the achievement of necessary results through active involvement.

“By properly implementing gamification, we can promote engagement, and productivity, a sense of belonging, gratification, as well as overall behavioural change,” he added.

Arimac Digital is a solution expert in the field of gamification with many completed projects. The digital product developer is also one of few companies in Sri Lanka to develop immersive and interactive native applications for 3D and augmented reality product visualization.

Download IMI Club from Play Store or App Store to play Keells Power Shopper. Players that spend up to LKR 1,500 or more on select brands at any Keells supermarket will receive a promo code to be used in-game.  To learn more about Arimac Digital, visit https://arimaclanka.com.
