Kandy District U13 Badminton Pool Formed

As part of Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB) initiative to develop District Level U 13 squads, another pool was formed in the Kandy District at Chandrananda Buddhist School recently. The launch of the latest pool, which includes 30 young shuttlers, took place under the patronage of Sri Lanka Badminton President Rohan De Silva. This event was organized by Central province Badminton Association.

Sri Lanka Badminton Vice  Precedent and Regional Development Commitee Chairman Roshan Gunawardena, vice president of Central province Badminton Association and member of Regional Development Committee Palitha Hettiarachchi, Sri Lanka Badminton Vice  Precedent and secretary of Central province Badminton Association Chamara Aluthge, former secretary of Sri Lanka Badminton Saman Wijesinghe, District sports Officer Gamlath, Director of physical education Ministry of sports Central province Athula Wijesinghe, Assistant tournament secretary of School Badminton Association Darshana Bandara, Wijesinghe, Assistant tournament secretary of Central province Badminton Association Sumithra Dissanayake, Assistant director of Central province sports ministry Thushara Samarasinghe,  National Badminton Coach Rajitha Dahanayake, Coordinator of Kandy  District U 13 Badminton pool Bandara Samarakon and District Coach of  Regional Development Sankalpa Gunawardena attended the event.

The U 13 District pooling programe is sponsored by Mobil, 3M and Li Ning.
