Kala Pola, Sri Lanka’s Annual Open-Air Art Fair, which was held on 19th February, celebrated its 30th year in 2023. The event was first conceptualised by the George Keyt Foundation in 1993, and has since been held with the continued support and patronage of the John Keells Group, since 1994. Kala Pola is the country’s largest and most vibrant platform for artists to showcase their work and to interact with the art community. This year’s event showcased the talents of over 300 local artists from all over the country. His Excellency Paul Stephens, Australian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Maldives, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
