Ishara Madushan, the founder and Managing Director of Ishara Madushan Online School Pvt. Ltd., was named the Best Online Mathematics Tutor of the Year (Platinum) at the Business World International Awards 2024. The award ceremony, organised by the Business World International Organisation, took place recently at the Mount Lavinia Hotel in Colombo. Madushan is a passionate educator, a qualified engineer, and a well-known actor who has made a remarkable impact in the field of online education. An alumnus of Maliyadeva College in Kurunegala, he went on to complete a BSc (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Peradeniya. Driven by a strong commitment to uplift mathematics education in Sri Lanka, he launched IMOS (Ishara Madushan Online School) with a vision to make high-quality, accessible, and affordable education a reality for students across the island.
Specialising in mathematics classes for students from Grade 6 to 11, IMOS (Ishara Madushan Online School) currently serves over 12,000 students island-wide and conducts all sessions online via Zoom.
