Yukthi Badminton Academy and Ramesh Badminton Academy clinched the Men’s and Women’s A Division titles respectively at the Inter-Club Championships which saw over 500 participants in action during the weekend.
Yukthi BA also clinched the Boys’ U-19 title while Ramesh BA won the Girls’ U-19 Championship.
Boys’ U-15 title was won by Danushka BA while Girls’ title in the same age group was clinched by Ramesh BA.
Organized by the Western Province Badminton Association, the Championships was held at the St. Joseph’s College and Mercantile Services Badminton Courts, with shuttlers from 48 private badminton clubs taking part.
The finals took place at St. Joseph’s Indoor Stadium. Bank of Ceylon was the sole sponsor of the Championships, while Lin Mi provided shuttlecocks throughout the event.
The prize-giving ceremony was held under the patronage of Sameera Liyanage, Chief Marketing Officer of Bank of Ceylon, in the presence of officials of the Western Province Badminton Association and Sri Lanka Badminton.
