The Indo Bangladesh Agri Mechanization Summit (IBAM) held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) Dhaka on January 27-29, 2023. organized by the TMA (an international platform for the farm mechanization industry) in partnership with FBCCI, CII, and Indian High Commission, Dhaka.
Hon’ble Agriculture Minister Dr. Muhammad Abdur Razzaque as the Chief Guest graced the summit while Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Mr. Pranay Kumar Verma attended the summit as Guest of Honor. FBCCI President Md. Jashim Uddin, as the special guest, President of the TMA Bharatendu Kapoor, President of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and President of the TMA Hemant Sikka, Managing Director of the Metal Pvt Ltd Sadid Jamil, President of the ACI Motors Dr. A.K.M. Fareyzul Haque Ansarey were also present on the program.
While speaking, FBCCI President Md. Jashim Uddin said, the recent development of Bangladesh on connectivity, use of inland waterways, transit, and transshipment through Chattogram and Mongla ports towards Northeast India are very promising in terms of economic growth. The successful launch of two mega projects, the Padma Bridge and the Metro Rail shows Bangladesh’s solid move to the next tier of development. 100+ economic zones, high-tech parks, and industrial zones with access to utilities present major business opportunities, he added.
Md. Jashim Uddin invited the Indian business community to attend the upcoming Bangladesh Business Summit in March.
