Inaugural Ceremony of BCSIR International Congress 2023 held in Dhaka

International Scientific Conference (Congress) 2023 organized by Bangladesh Science & Industry Research Council (BCSIR)  to celebrate the golden jubilee of BCSIR and to continue the progress of Bangladesh in science research has started on 08 March 2024 Friday at Dhanmondi campus of BCSIR. In addition to various universities and research institutes of Bangladesh, thousands of scientists and researchers from more than 30 countries, especially America, China, Japan, Australia, India, Korea, Britain and other countries will present their research work in this scientific conference.



The special significance of this science conference is that Japanese scientist DR YOSHINORI OSHUMU, who won the Nobel Prize in medical research in 2016, could not attend in person due to illness.  he expressed the opinion that he can do something for the country or the world through research. At the same time he lays special emphasis on applying the acquired knowledge through research.

Honorable Minister of Health and Family Welfare Professor Dr. Samant Lal Sen – He said, “Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has no alternative to the advancement of science to build a smart Bangladesh, so she called upon the scientists of this country to give more importance to scientific research. He also said that through this conference, the exchange of knowledge between various budding scientists and researchers will be increased and the research institutes of different countries will be connected. Since science is an open subject, it will contribute to building an open and knowledge-based society”.

Present as Chief Patron, Hon’ble Science and Technology Minister Architect Yafes Osman – he said “All the scientists, researchers and innovators of BCSIR should utilize their talent to take Bangladesh to greater heights in the welfare of the people of this country and in the world.”

Chairman of BCSIR in the speech of the president. Md. Aftab Ali Sheikh thanked everyone and started his greeting speech. He said in his speech, “BCSIR is playing a very important role in advancing science in Bangladesh. To that end, BCSIR Congress-2023 will play a leading role. He also said that the young scientists of the country will benefit from the scientists coming from abroad in this conference.
