‘Idea Abhiman’ musical extravaganza, organized by the Idea Group Limited was held in grandeur on 6th of January at the BMICH with the gracious presence of its staff and stakeholders. The show which was held for the second consecutive year featured Dr. Victor Ratnayake, Visharadha Sunil Edirisinghe, Priya Sooryasena, Aathma Liyanage and Shashika Nisansala. Whilst Music veteran Suresh Maliyadde provided melodious music with his fellow performers, the well renowned compere, Kelum Srimal compeered this grand event.
Another noteworthy unique aspect of ‘Idea Abhiman’ was that artistes shared their thoughts with regard to the lyrics and music of their songs presented at the show, by interacting with the audience and compeer.

Mr. Sampath Mayakaduwa was conferred with two Gold awards at the 22nd edition of the ‘Best Entrepreneur of the Year 2017’ awards ceremony held at BMICH organized by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) in 2017.The two Gold awards were; Provincial Gold award (Large scale category – Western province) and National Gold award (Large scale category). Moreover, ‘SIVILIMA’ brand of Idea Group Limited was conferred with the ‘Best Innovative Brand of the Year’ Gold award at the 16th ‘SLIM Brand Excellence 2017’. ‘SIVILIMA’ surpassed five innovative and leading brands in the country nominated to clinch this award.
