Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) offered training on Filing of income tax return for companies and individuals: focusing on compliance with the Income Tax Act-2023 held on 24 August 2024 Saturday at Hotel Bengal Canary Park, Gulshan, Dhaka.
Mr. M Nurul Alam FCS, Senior Vice President and Coordinator of the training program welcomed all the participants, introduced the resource persons and outlined the objectives of the training. He added that this initiative of ICSB will enhance competencies of the participants and help them to stay updated with the latest knowledge. He informed that, similar training programs would continue in the coming days for the development of Company Secretaries and Corporate Executives of the country.
The daylong training sessions were conducted by the learned resource persons-Mr. Apurba Kanti Das, Former Member (Tax Appeal & Exemption) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR); Mr. IkhtiareUddin Mohammad Mamun, Director General of BCS (Tax) Academy; Mr. Sarwar Hossain Khan, Deputy Director, Tax and Fiscal Compliance of Banglalink Digital Communications Limited and Mr. Dipongkor Dutta ACS, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Universal Medical College and Hospital Limited.
During the training, the resource persons discussed and presented key compliance issues, with a focus on the Income Tax Act 2023 and the filing of income tax returns for both companies and individuals.
A good number of participants from various government organizations, corporate houses attended the training program. Mr. A. K. M. Mushfiqur Rahman FCS, Vice President and Mr. Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan FCS, Council Member were present in the training programme. At the end, Mr. Md Zakir Hossain, Secretary & Chief Executive Officer of the Institute offered a vote of thanks. Finally, Senior Vice President of ICSB Mr. M Nurul Alam FCS handed over the certificates to the participants.
