
The CFA Society Sri Lanka has announced that its signature event, the annual CFA Society Sri Lanka Capital Market Awards, now in its 12th year, is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 24 June 2025, at ‘Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams’.
With a firm purpose of recognizing and rewarding excellence in the local capital markets, the coveted CFA Society Sri Lanka Capital Market Awards stand among the most sought-after investment industry accolades today.
Commenting on significance of the awards, Rashmi Peiris-Paranavitane, CFA, President of CFA Society Sri Lanka, says: “The CFA Society Sri Lanka Capital Market Awards is the most anticipated event in the capital markets industry, and is aligned with the CFA Institute’s role in advancing the capital markets – promoting ethical investing, transparency, and financial excellence. The awards also encourage responsible investing and good governance.”
She further notes that “the significance of the awards is underscored by its recognition of outstanding contributions, thereby fostering a culture of excellence. Moreover, the awards encourage future market leaders, inspiring professionals to uphold high standards and driving innovation.”
Aruna Alwis, CEO of CFA Society Sri Lanka, emphasizes the magnitude of the awards: “A flagship event in the CFA calendar, the CFA Society Sri Lanka Capital Market Awards brings together regulators, stockbrokers, analysts, CFA charterholders, and senior management of listed companies; all pivotal cogs in capital markets.”

Eneeshya Perera, CFA, Project Chairperson of the CFA Society Sri Lanka Capital Market Awards 2025, highlights that “CFA Society Sri Lanka continues to play an integral part in developing our capital markets to stay relevant, globally.”

Awards are to be presented under the categories of Best Equity Research Team, Best Equity Research Report, Best Sector Report, Best Investor Relations Team and Best Unit Trust Team, along with the Best Sustainability Reporting Award, with awards for Gold, Silver and Bronze in each category respectively.
As in previous years, the CFA Society Sri Lanka Capital Market Awards will be judged by a distinguished panel comprising CFA charterholders as well as industry experts.
