HNB launches exclusive Affinity Credit Cards for St. Peter’s College OBU

Continuing its support to prestigious educational institutions, Sri Lanka’s leading private sector bank HNB PLC, announced a landmark partnership with the St. Peter’s College (SPC) Old Boys’ Union (OBU) to launch an exclusive affinity credit card for its members.

Custom-made for SPCOBU and parents of students, the card offers a wide range of exclusive benefits and promotional deals across the Bank’s broad portfolio of merchant partners. HNB Head of Cards Gauthami Niranjan, Bambalapitiya Branch Manager Dhanushka Rajapakse, Product Development Associate Mohamed Mafaz and SPC OBU President Ravika De Silva, General Secretary Dayan Georgesz, Treasurer Dion Saverimuttu, Finance Committee Chairman Rajitha Perera and Rector of SPC Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo were present at the ‘Back to School for the Centenary’ event held at College where the new facility was launched.

“St. Peters College is a well-known institution for excellence which has produced well-rounded students who have become some of our accomplished leaders across a number of industries. As such we consider it an honour to partner with the OBU in order to provide exclusive benefits to its members,” HNB Head of Cards, Gauthami Niranjan said.

SPC OBU President Ravika De Silva said, “The St. Peter’s College Old Boys’ Union is happy to partner with HNB PLC, the premier bank in Sri Lanka which has a long history and association with the SPC OBU. The SPC OBU looks forward to the patronage of members which will support the activities of the SPC OBU when they use the affinity card.’

All members can use this opportunity to give back to school through this initiative, as a percentage will be contributed to the SPC OBU every time a card is issued and used.

The partnership will offer members access to exclusive benefits across HNBs extensive merchant partner network. Moreover, the bank will waive off the annual fee for the first year and provide members with a complementary supplementary card.

Customers can also make use of a 12 month easy payment plans with 0% interest rates on all school fees payments to SPC, in addition to complementary overseas travel and health insurance plans. Additionally, HNB will offer an interest free 24-month instalment plan for Peterite Lounge Life Membership fees and a 6-month payment plan for the Peterite Lounge Annual Membership payments.
