Udara Sampath Kulasooriya from Head Office Branch crowned winner at the grand finale
Sri Lanka’s leading financial services provider, HNB Finance announced the conclusion of the third consecutive HNB Finance IQ Quiz Master Competition 2019, held exclusively for employees.
Organized by the Human Resources Department, the highly contested competition chose 100 from a list of 836 applicants with just 16 making their way to the finals. HNB Finance Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer Chaminda Prabath graced the event held at Raffles Banquet, Kotte Road, Kotte.
“We work towards ensuring are employees are not just satisfied with their work but are happy and completely engaged in what they do. The IQ Quiz master competition has been immensely popular amongst the staff since its inception three years ago as it offers them the opportunity to test and exhibit their knowledge in other related fields,” HNB Finance Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer Chaminda Prabath said.
More than 836 employees participated in the initial rounds of the competition held on digital platforms after each branch recommended their names. 16, chosen for the final from 100 participants, won the chance to take the ‘Hot Seat’ at the grand finale. As per the competition rules, the finalist has to answer seven or more questions posed to them correctly to be adjudged the final winner of the competition.
HNB Finance also carried out several special social media campaigns to promote the highly competitive programme amongst their employees.
“The IQ Master programme is a significant programme organized by HNB Finance to ensure our employees are well rounded individuals inculcated with the habit of learning and keeping to date with current world affairs. We believe the event has strengthened the relationship between HNB Finance and its employees over the years,” HNB Finance Deputy General Manager – Human Resources and Administration Ruwan Fernando said.
