HNB Achieves Exceptional Success at National Sales Awards 2024 with Seven Prestigious Honors

Colombo, Sri Lanka – HNB (Hatton National Bank) has set a new benchmark for excellence in the banking sector, securing seven prestigious awards at the National Sales Awards (NSA) 2024, held on the 16th of December. Organized by Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the NSA is the country’s premier event for recognizing the exceptional efforts of sales professionals across industries.

In a testament to HNB’s strong presence in both the “All Industries” and “Banking Industry” categories, the bank achieved its best-ever performance at the NSA. A total of three awards were won in the “All Industries” categories, while four awards were earned under the “Banking Industry” categories.
 



 

Among the standout achievements was the performance of Chathura Bhagya Kodikara from Business Development Unit, who received a Bronze Award in “Other Sales Support – Assistant Manager” category for All Industries, competing against nominees from other 21 industries.

In the “All Industries” categories, Nishanthan Karunairaj, the Regional Business Head, Northern Region received a Merit Award in “Regional Sales Manager” category, and Bashitha Weerasinghe from HNB Leasing Division also earned a Merit Award in “Other Sales Support Staff – Non-Executive” category, highlighting HNB’s versatility across different sectors.

Akeel Ahamed from the HNB Nikaweratiya Branch stood out in the Banking industry, clinching the Silver Award in the “Sales Executive” category. Likewise, Lakshan Hasindu from Business Development Unit showcased his exceptional skills, earning the Silver Award in the “Sales Supervisor” category within the Banking industry.

Further contributing to the bank’s success, Dasun Uthuruwella from HNB SOLO Unit received the Bronze Award in the “Territory Manager” category, demonstrating excellence in the Banking industry. Vishwa Welagedara, representing HNB SOLO Unit, received the Bronze Award in the “Sales Frontliner” category, further highlighting the bank’s prowess in diverse sales roles.

Notably, HNB’s impressive performance in the “All Industries” categories was exceptional, with the bank securing three out of five awards. This achievement underscores HNB’s strength and dedication towards driving excellence across all sectors.

The outstanding achievements by HNB employees are a testament to the bank’s vision and drive to create an atmosphere for talented individuals to excel in their respective fields by prioritizing employee growth and development. It should therefore come as no surprise that several HNB employees were awarded in recognition of the hard work and dedication they put in to becoming the best of the best in the sales profession.
