The Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation (LAF), an approved charity dedicated to advocating and addressing the care of those diagnosed with dementia, is having its annual pre-Christmas sale to raise funds for its work.

LAF invites you to help yourself to some delightful pre-Christmas shopping of brand new women’s, men’s and children’s clothes and lingerie and various food items at bargain prices while helping to raise funds for this worthy cause. Bring along your friends and well-wishers to the sale which will be held on Saturday 19th November from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at LAF, 110 Ketawalamulla Lane, Maradana. All proceeds of the sale will be utilized to help the Foundation continue its care programme.

Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation is recognized and respected for its activities in care-giving, memory screening and related support services provided for people afflicted by this condition through its Activity Centre. LAF also works on awareness creation about the condition that affects an estimated c. 200,000 people in Sri Lanka and expected to approach half a million by 2050 with our rapidly ageing population. LAF is run by volunteers and supported through corporates, individual donors and fund-raising. It is a member of Alzheimer’s Disease International, the world body representing 105 member associations from countries around the world.
