Great Place to Work® Sri Lanka, driven by the belief in making lives better and spreading joy, collaborated with Roshan Mahanama Trust, Connect To Care, and Indira Cancer Trust to organize a Festive Party at ‘Suwa Arana’—Sri Lanka’s pioneering pediatric palliative care center.
‘Suwa Arana,’ a sanctuary for destitute children, was transformed into a haven where laughter and joy reverberated through the air. In a further demonstration of their commitment to enhancing the lives of children bravely confronting pediatric cancer, the organization ensured that each child received personalized gifts. By customizing gifts for each child, Great Place to Work® Sri Lanka not only recognized the unique struggles each individual faces but also sought to bring joy and comfort in a way that resonated personally with each child. This act reflects an understanding of the emotional needs of these young warriors and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on their challenging journey.
Kshanika Ratnayaka, Director/CEO of Great Place to Work® Sri Lanka, emphasized, “We believe that these personalized gifts are powerful symbols of care and encouragement. They have the potential to inspire resilience and instil hope, creating enduring memories for the courageous children confronting the challenges of pediatric cancer.”
In this gesture of giving, Great Place to Work® Sri Lanka demonstrated that its commitment to corporate social responsibility by fostering moments of happiness in the lives of those who need it the most and representing a message of care, hope, and the belief that even in the face of adversity, joy can be kindled.
