Great Place to Work® Sri Lanka Partners with AIESEC Sri Lanka for National Leadership Development Seminar 2024

Great Place to Work® Sri Lanka proudly partnered as a Bronze Partner in the National Leadership Development Seminar (NLDS) 2024, one of the most awaited annual conferences of AIESEC in Sri Lanka. Held recently at Caroline Beach Hotel in Chilaw, the event brought together over 200 young leaders from across the country for an enriching experience focused on leadership development, soft skills enhancement, and networking opportunities.

The seminar combined professional development through leadership workshops, networking spaces, and panel discussions, along with team activities and partner exhibitions. It concluded with a Gala Night and a national awards ceremony.

 



 

As part of Great Place To Work’s commitment to fostering positive workplace cultures, the team conducted an engaging session titled “The Importance and Benefits of Being Part of a Great Workplace.” This session, delivered by Kaneru Godagama, Head of Consulting Business, and Ruwani Alwishewa, Practice Head of Assessment Business and Client Services , highlighted the positive impact of a healthy workplace environment on employees. This aligns with Great Place To Work’s sustainability strategy under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) pillar, which includes educational outreach, community development, and environmental stewardship.  Their CSR initiatives focus on creating lasting positive impact through knowledge sharing and promoting inclusive workplace practices. This multifaceted approach aims to offer students a deeper understanding of how a positive workplace culture can shape their career paths.

The event was a resounding success, with over 200 delegates from 10 universities, both public and private, participating. The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the insightful presentations and vibrant discussions.

Dileesha Hettiararchi, Head of National Sales at AIESEC in Sri Lanka, expressed gratitude for the partnership, stating, “Partnering up with Great Place to Work® Sri Lanka was indeed a pleasure. Educating the youth about the importance of a healthy workplace is crucial, and a team from Great Place to Work®, including two AIESEC alumni, delivered an amazing session to the 200+ delegation during NLDS 2024. We thank Great Place to Work® for educating these soon-to-be graduates on this vital topic.”
